1. We need to have standardised trucks which follow all the norms whether it is BS norms or it is OEM recommendations. Trucks more than stipulated service time should be replaced. 2. Secondly, our road infrastructure is still not at par at certain locations especially during monsoon and in the hilly areas which have landslide risks. 3. We need to also ensure driving times are measured and kept between 8 to 10 hrs per day. The biggest risk is the strain on drivers - time it takes at state permits, pressure to deliver on time.

This includes setting clear, enforceable safety benchmarks, training personnel on accessibility and safety protocols, and using data-driven insights to continuously monitor and improve safety measures. Collaborating with stakeholders and regularly updating standards based on feedback and technological advancements are also key to maintaining high safety standards.

Not only should we train our staff and make sure these standards are met. We also need to listen to them, take in account for what they feel and think. Safety is personal, so we should be personal too.

These steps ensure a safe, inclusive transportation experience for all.

Inclusiveness should be considered at the design stage. It is not limited to the design of highways or pathways only. It extends beyond that, including the design of public transportation stations and stops, parking spaces, and access facilities (elevators, escalators, etc.)
