I must add we as freelance consultants are over stretched! One thing I have found helpful is continual mentorship of junior freelance environmental consultants. Preferably these must have a technical skill set that you don't already have. I am aware that mentorship will take up your time and merge resources. But having a diverse team of freelance experts readily available to assist. Enhances your professional services to your clients. Also frees up some of your personal time to work on your mental health and technical skills. I have come full circle with some of my mentees. In the beginning I was the Technical advidor and eventually became their field worker in their own freelance assignments.
