To avoid burnout, set clear boundaries and prioritize tasks. Delegate where possible, streamline processes, and communicate expectations with clients to avoid overcommitting. Take regular breaks to recharge and practice self-care. Focus on time management, breaking larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps. Balancing client demands with personal well-being ensures sustained productivity and satisfaction.

Stop saying YES. A Yes person will always over promise and under deliver on their declarations of action. Set clear expectations that allow you to deliver on your declaration of action in a way the under promises and over delivers. Once this has been mastered, the next level consultant learns how to delegate and manage tasks all the while still under promising and over delivering results.

Agree with others- boundaries and firm ones. NO is a full sentence. Look after your own needs first (or you can't help anyone) and avoid the need to rescue and fix if someone is not ready to listen. Backing up to prevention- selection of client is also key in the first place- the people you work with must want the change more than you- or it wont work and you will exhaust yourself attempting to meet the clients unreasonable demands. Turn some clients down The coach should always be in the driving seat, or the client may steer you anywhere

It might be difficult to manage demanding clients without becoming broke, but there are a few tactics that can keep you in check. First, communicate your availability and deliverables up front to set clear expectations. Employ time management strategies to organize your work and make sure you take regular breaks to refuel, such as time blocking or the Pomodoro Technique. It's critical to develop the ability to say no to unreasonable requests; consider what fits with your objectives and provide alternatives as needed. Self-care techniques like exercise and mindfulness can be incorporated to greatly lower stress. Creating a network of peers for support or getting expert assistance might offer insightful viewpoints.
-
Start by setting clear expectations with clients about your availability and response times. Define your working hours, response times for emails or calls, and how frequently you’re able to provide updates. This helps clients understand when and how to reach you, giving you control over your schedule. Organize tasks by priority, focusing on high-impact activities that directly address client needs. If possible, delegate routine tasks or automate repetitive work (such as scheduling and reminders) to free up time and mental space. Prioritizing in this way allows you to manage your workload without feeling stretched too thin.
