If these are client requested changes I typically create a change log. It lists the request, the effort, and the priority. I find that it's a great tool for conversation. It helps the client see effectively what they're asking for and helps them prioritize. Sometimes they may change their mind about certain things they requested to prioritize other things within a given deadline or push something to a later update. It also helps me request additional support, overtime, etc. It also helps me document accountability for who requested what and what was completed in case there are questions later.

When you've the time...Understanding "your way" (which I understand would be unique or not so much) of creating and streamlining content for your clients in general. Try to categorise where you get the most feedback and what best can you do to improvise on it.?? Because generally, if your content corrections are creative changes rather than your 'mistakes' like not following style guides or other content guidelines, you're most likely to set expectations with your future clients about the same. Creative liberty is a must in this phase. So the best way to eliminate this time being wasted is to set right expectations with your clients before taking up the project by showcasing your previous work and checking whether they approve it or not.

If this has happened before, then did you speak up and request extra help from other authors or request additional resources? There have been times in my past when I have done this.
