It is always important for an efficient warehouse to maintain the accuracy of order picking during the loading process, as it is directly related to maintaining stock accuracy in inventory management. Hence trainings have to be facilitated for the newly recruited staff for order picking, and in these ways errors can be minimised: Precisely brief about the inventories and its related challenges. Make familiar with technologies. Focus on building skills and increasing motivation; also evaluate the performance at regular intervals so that possible errors can be highlighted in the early stage.

To ensure new staff in order picking achieve high accuracy & minimize errors, a structured & supportive training approach can be very effective: Start with Comprehensive Orientation: Introduce new staff to the warehouse layout, order picking zones, and specific item storage locations to help them familiarize themselves with the environment. A well-structured map and color-coded sections can be particularly helpful for faster, accurate navigation. Use a Hands-On Approach to Teach Systems and Technology Break Down the Picking Process into Steps Emphasize Quality Control at Every Step Implement Visual Cues and Checklists Pair with Experienced Mentors Monitor Progress and Provide Feedback Conduct Error Analysis and Refresh Training Regularly

Onboarding new staff always has its challenges, especially when picking new item. Here are a few key strategies I've found that can be applied to any supply chain in any industry: 1. Well made S.O.P's with Diagram aids or workflow charts work great for all types of learners and helps staff understand company standards. 2. Auditing Pick Missions before shipment helps catch inaccuracies by new staff and provides feedback quickly so new staff can see where they made mistakes and understand how it can affect company processes. 3. Using technology, such as cameras and scanners with error prevention software improves accuracy for new and seasoned staff and provides just in time feedback as well.
