As a leader of a team it should be rare you would be ‘at odds’ with them. With stuff like this I always think of an old Chinese proverb; ‘Tell me and I’ll forget, Show me and I might remember, But involve me and I will understand’. If you’re ‘at odds’ it’s probably because they don’t understand the thinking behind what you have proposed.
