Having an open mind will help you start learning about the organisation, who to learn from and in most cases the person who you need too talk with is a central person in the organisation, or they will be able to direct you to the right person, also acknowledge that everyone has value input to give

Being a newbie in Information Security, comes with it's own challenges, one of which could be asking for help from more experienced personnel. A key characteristic to look out for is the person's willingness to help others and this might come from observing the persons communication and style of work. ensuring that your request is met with the same willingness to help. I would also add that as you advance in your career try as much as possible to be approachable to the newbies in your career path as they would need your guidance and expertise to build their careers.

I once was a newbie in information security and I can tell you for a fact that its challenging delegating task to more experienced individuals. I think its important to first understand the task which you wish to delegate. Its important that you give the task to the person with the right skills to handle it. You should also consider the persons willingness to assist because its pointless giving out a task to someone who doesn't want to do it.

When searching for an information security expert to delegate tasks to, consider their experience in handling similar projects or challenges. Look for candidates who have a track record of success in implementing security measures or resolving security incidents. Assess their availability to ensure they can dedicate sufficient time and attention to your task. Additionally, seek out individuals who stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies, as the field of information security is constantly evolving.
