His work was evaluated by a group of competitors who "picked at" his work. Other colleagues trusted them and took my translator off their preferred list without my knowledge. Come to find out the competitors "fell down" and could not deliver the translations on time. They were fired and the work was taken away from them. Guess who got the work? The original translator because his work spoke for him. He is now training another translator and the work is moving forward again. He was reliable, used best practices, and delivered his work as promised.

Pero creo que es invaluable observar a otros profesionales, ir eligiendo que sí y que no quiero replicar... y así ir construyendo tus propias herramientas y métodos. Vamos a cometer errores? Seguro que si, pero esos también serán una enorme fuente de valioso aprendizaje.

Un aspecto fundamental cuando se esta comenzando es preguntar y dejarse guiar, en ocasiones se piensa que preguntar es mostrar debilidad y es todo lo contrario es una gran fortaleza es de sabios preguntar y de esa forma evitas equivocarse. Al igual que muestra un nivel de humildad también muestras un interés por aprender lo que no sabes. Por otro lado, es importante identificar personas claves e las cuales aprender y quizas tener un mentor por un tiempo determinado que pueda validar tu crecimiento Este punto lo clave es que siempre estaremos aprendiendo de los demas aunque ya no seamos nuevos siempre se puede aprender algo mas y debe formar parte de tu filosofía
