First thing, I spend time understanding each person’s unique style. I chat with them about their approach and what they feel comfortable with. Next, I create a style guide that captures the essential elements we need for consistency—things like tone, voice, and formatting. When your team is diverse the project goals and objectives are the framework within which they need to write. When you set the goals and objectives of the project in place, you are giving direction to the team to the expected outcome of the project. Objectives defines the scope of the project and whatever diversity or writing styles each member brings to the table must mandatorily be in alignment with it.

Having an editorial guideline would be helpful for everyone. You don't want to guide every new writer on the team and repeat yourself repeatedly. Some of us writers tend to prefer reading, and having something to read repeatedly, as and when I need to review, helps me. I feel bad about having to ask my "senior" to repeat certain things again, so just being able to read the guidelines would be easier for everyone.

Dialogues to better understand where everyone stands and what they can offer would help to provide a climate of open communication. When we know each other strengths, we can play and leverage on their strengths. A combined collective of individual voices may bring a diverse reader base to the publication as if it were going to eat at a buffet spread. Everyone has their own unique taste and interests, and that may change. So, by harnessing the diverse group of writers' collective strengths, we can offer something more within and outside the team.
