I work remotely and lead a team of people who are located in the office. I am very appreciative of the people I work with and their tremendous contribution to help out. I listen to their positives and complaints, and coach them, even if it is on a zoom call. For me, the best ways to earn trust are: 1. do what you say you will do 2. express appreciation for the contributions of the team 3. leave each meeting with a compliment and thanks. A positive attitude and recognition go a long way to building trust and collaboration.

I had the opportunity to work with a global team of 20 members across Asia, Europe, and South America. From the start, we set clear expectations and goals, and held regular check-ins to address challenges and provide support. For collaboration, we relied on Miro and SharePoint to efficiently share documents and ideas. To build rapport and trust, team members took turns sharing something meaningful, like a hobby, food, or personal experience. We also enjoyed a virtual escape room for team-building. It's crucial to remain flexible and mindful of the unique challenges remote work can bring. When traveling, take the time to meet your team members in person for tea/coffee!

Use “I” statements to avoid sounding accusatory and offer actionable suggestions for growth. Encourage an open dialogue and listen to their perspective, showing that you value their feelings and input. Follow up with support and resources to help them succeed.

Lo primero que hago es establecer reuniones regulares donde todos los miembros puedan compartir sus avances y preocupaciones.
