When it comes to new trends, we must stay updated to lead our NGO effective with the changing dynamics. In my experience, when we started Give Vacha Foundation in 2014, social media was not that much included for social impact, however as the social media boomed, we integrated it in our projects. We even combined our Music projects for NGO fundraising, as the donor’s outlook changed a lot.

Engaging community truly helps to take the social impact forward. In my experience, we as an NGO couldn’t do significant social impact for some of our projects even the cause was unique; while for many of our projects, I didn’t do much effort except building the engaging community around the cause. One of our such initiative is “Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv” which became so impactful with the help of engaging community.

Fundraising for IMPACT sector needs to be treated by the founding team like a VC fundraise for a for-profit startup. The only difference here being the multiple of social-benefit generated for every $ spent. 1. Define and set INPUT and OUTPUT success metrics 2.
