Age, gender, nationality etc. There are plenty of nuances to consider across demographics. For example, speaking to a primarily-western audience might require a more assertive tone (this is a generalisation, based on current experiences with clients across the globe) Secondly, what is their sentiment? What emotions are they experiencing? For example, when organising a company townhall during an economic downturn, be aware that employees might be feeling scared, worried and protective. Hence, the message and tone used needs to take these emotions into consideration.
