There are 2 misconceptions that require addressing before undertaking AI skill development for non tech talent - (a) regular tech automation is different from AI capabilities and (b) AI capabilities painted by creative artists is mostly a dramatised version that is very far from today’s reality. AI skill development for non-tech must be met through experiential techniques and creating pilot opportunities to offer a better appreciation of AI capabilities and possibilities.

Well I can surely say - bridging the gap between AI experts and non tech employees isn’t an easy task , but it’s not impossible. First off we’d have to customize the training so it makes sense for different skill levels – that way no one feels left behind. Then we could get the more tech savvy employees to mentor others. People learn better when it’s from someone they already know, and it helps build confidence. Lastly, show practical, real world examples of how AI is impacting our daily work. When we see how things connect to what we’re already doing, it clicks faster. This approach has worked pretty well in my experience, helping to make AI less intimidating for non tech folks and getting them more comfortable with the whole thing.

Reskilling for AI isn’t just about learning new tools—it’s about changing how we see things. From what I’ve observed, many non-tech employees feel overwhelmed by AI at first, and that’s completely natural. The key has been to show them how AI can help in their everyday tasks. I’ve seen great results when we pair tech-savvy team members with others for one-on-one learning. It’s about building confidence and making AI feel less like a buzzword and more like something we can all use to make our work easier and more impactful.

I would create an AI Academy for everyone in the organization We need AI literacy for 100% of the team no matters the role Specific teams may need complementary trainings but I will not focus the investment only in tech people. AI for everyone!
