Now, I see it’s just as important as the work itself. Building relationships, attending industry events, and connecting with others in the field isn't just something you do occasionally—it's a daily task. Treating networking as part of your routine opens doors, creates opportunities, and helps you grow in ways that talent alone can’t.

Networking is and always will be an extremely important aspect of the arts industries. You must be in the know, around the right people and be pushed to be at your best. Daily. You can only achieve this by taking yourself out of your comfort zone. Networking isn't always going to be formal introductions. Me personally I get to chat with bands and fans. Know where you fit. Some will ask you questions while you will ask others. It's an important role we have to play, skills we will only sharpen over time. Always take numbers and email addresss. You never know when you we will meet that person again.

Self promotion is extremely important. With ever changing multimedia platforms and fast paced reels. You need to treat yourself as a brand an enigma, you will be constantly selling yourself. But.. your work is what will always sell you. You have to be open to all genres. You could be recording a rapper, then an indie band, then a metal. Keep evolving. Keep your eye on the future.

You will always be learning. Music moves fast. And you need to be ahead of the curve, always looking for the next big thing. The bigger the artist you work with the bigger credibility you receive from your piers. All this matters. It's how far you wish to climb
