First of all, each mitigation strategy should be assess since the business perspective. For example, I would pretend to have several suppliers to avoid dependency; however, what happen if in my business there are a few suppliers. This is something that in my experience has really worked. So, in order to identify the most effective mitigation strategy, management should consider: - business model - business restrictions - benefits and cost analysis (since qualitative and quantitative perspective) - alignment with objectives and strategy

Mitigation or an interim control plans should be in place till removal of any identified risk Mitigation plans shall be agreed and performed with CFT. Measures also shall be in place to capture any risk & deviation from process Revisiting of the process and monitoring is the key of identifying any new risk and removal

From my perspective, ensuring this plan is accessible and understood by all team members involved in the supply chain process is critical for its success. Regular drills or simulations are also vital, as they help ensure that our response is swift and effective, minimizing the impact on operations. By proactively preparing and regularly practicing our response, we can better manage disruptions and maintain business continuity.

Response plans makes more sense when it comes to data management or IT infrastrucute (like using disaster recovery sites for business continuity), but it's more complicated for supply chain issues. In my experience, being proactive is way more effective than being reactive. A response plan would look like using a backup supplier if the main supplier, for example, breaks contract or ran out of capacity. For large organisations, real time database should be maintained for end users so they always know who their backup suppliers are.

Response planning involves 1. Crisis Management Team: Establish a trained team for handling disruptions. 2. Crisis Communication Plan: Develop a clear strategy for timely stakeholder updates. 3. Let's not forget when we're talking about the supply chain and our partners we also need to ensure heir teams are just as well, or even better trained, than our own teams. Remember: some of our risks arise in our supply chains, our suppliers and partners are the first line of defence on those risks stemming from their activities and organisations, and they own those risks. We can't manage what we don't know!
