Training library staff is urgently essential for growth and patron satisfaction today than it has been. As the information field evolves, library skills and competencies can only be taught through staff training. For example Library classification, and other skills that we assume every librarian knows. When library staff are not well trained, compensating for all the new evolvements in the field is hard, innovation is hard, and applying the knowledge and skills they already hard seems a routine.

New services, yes, broadens your audience however, it is important to understand the staffing that you have. That is why capacity building is very important in this case. It is a disgrace to introduce new services as a follow up on patron feedback and widening audience when you have no single staff who can operate such services. So despite it is important to involve the community demands, ensure that you have a competent and well skilled and equipped team ready to serve.
