Water is a precious resource that is vital for life on earth to survive. There are currently and will be further pressures on water availability and how we deal with excess water. This means we need to make the best use of the water that we have and how we deal with excess water, this is all part of water resilience planning. Use of technology such has sensors (hand-held and in situ) coupled with on-site weather stations are vital to assess what is needed by turf. It assists with effective irrigation planning and understanding what areas of the course need water and those that don't, allowing for a more targeted approach. Knowledge is power and data is the foundation of knowledge.

3 Follow best practices

Even with the best technology, you need to follow some best practices to ensure your irrigation system is effective and your greens stay healthy. To reduce water loss from evaporation and wind, irrigate in the early morning or evening. Additionally, use the right amount of water for your grass type, soil type, and climate - overwatering can cause problems such as disease and fungus, while underwatering can lead to stress and wilting. Regularly check your sprinkler heads and replace or repair any damaged or clogged ones. Make sure they are aligned and spaced correctly to avoid dry spots or runoff. At Toyesi they handle Golf Green Fans. Some greens are overly sheltered by mountains, buildings and trees. They look fantastic, however natural airflow fails to keep humidity and moisture at bay. These fans create airflow where nature doesn't. Can help a lot to keep greens green, and disease and water log free.
