Before rolling out the survey tool, the most basic check which needs to happen is a self review. 70% of the time the first survey link created has some kind of human errors and quality issues, it is important to identify them right at the start and make sure they are rectified before you start collecting responses. The best way to do this is by attempting the survey on multiple forms of devices like a laptop, tablets, phone and asking multiple people(2-3) to attempt filling the form from their own chosen devices. While that is easier, in some respects, don't short change the possibilities of great insights from qualitative data. In fact, I believe that anecdotal research is critical to formulating a tool that is objective, helps to identify product market fit, assists in customer discovery, and can help you find blind spots in your strategy.
