I've been lucky to find a professional development programme with our local council, and have seen other local authorities offer this in an effort to support small businesses. If there isn't anything like this in your area, you could look at successful organisations in your niche who are in a position to give back - they often advertises 1 to 1 fundraising support on their websites or social media.

Work with local fundraising associations and nonprofit professionals in your area: Do the Universities in your area have nonprofit administration or fundraising degree programs? Is there an AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) chapter in your region? Are there other philanthropy councils or nonprofit-specific events or associations with your business chamber? Many of these chapters and organizations have existing mentorship programs offered to their members. Participation in Rotary or other service clubs and engaging in volunteer opportunities are other great ways to network naturally. I have found some mentorships to be more formalized than others, but each valuable in their own way. Don't be afraid to ask!

Join groups, attend events (live and virtual), engage in conversations (live and virtual). Essentially, network like crazy, talk to people, and eventually one or two will stick out as potential mentors, people you respect, enjoy conversing with and who have experiences that you can learn from. You'll also get to see who's willing to share their stories, their advice, their time. Finding a mentor should happen naturally, not by forcing the issue.
