If you are looking to focus on AI as a PM I would suggest a few things: -Be super curious and test with as much AI features products to broaden your knowledge. -Don't try to eat the elephant in one bite. Pick smaller AI projects to learn from and iterate. -Most importantly focus on providing value to your customer. I see so many companies bolting on AI for the sake of having AI and its not resonating in the market. The hardest part of capitalizing on AI is honestly productization. The core technology of LLMs, etc. are already amazing, but its extremely hard to make it into a true product that provides value.

It is important to keep in mind that some career paths in this field have not even been discovered yet, and new roles will spin up in a very short time. These roles will best suit experienced professionals in any industry, as they are able to use their experiences to work on the upcoming roles. Your experiences and the quality of data you have access to will be key!

One emerging career path I foresee is LLM Specialist or Gen AI developers. The skill to make most of out of LLMs or Gen AI in general is going to be quite in demand. Like: efficient and scalable RAG and its variants or specialized fine tuned models or using GenAI as new operating systems. Keep learning in this domain and it will soon bring success!
