* Will incorporate the new skill on one of the priority tasks * Check all my duties and try to eliminate irrelevant tasks on day-to-day life that will enable me time for the training * Use the new skill on day-to-day work to ease the process then my mind will acknowledge the skill to be part of my duties

The first and foremost thing is how much eager you have to learn that skills, what's bring you on the table to learn that skills, simply what is your " Compelling reason" who force you to spare your time and learn that skills. Remember if you improve 1 % daily then you would be 36 times better in a year.

To navigate the challenge of learning a new skill amidst a busy schedule, start by setting clear goals and prioritizing tasks, ensuring dedicated time for learning. Minimize distractions and break the learning process into manageable sprints, leveraging online resources and technology. Stay committed, maintaining a positive mindset, and seek encouragement from friends or peers to keep motivation high.

I will create a schedule to incorporate dedicated time for learning new skills alongside my other responsibilities. Additionally, I will break down the lesson plans into smaller tasks to be completed on a regular basis.

For me, knowing when to seek support has always helped. Maybe you can’t find the time or juggle your current responsibilities with the new workload and what has helped me is communicating the struggle, as they say, a problem shared is a problem halved. Knowing how to delegate the work is an important skill that only comes by experience. Don’t be afraid to ask a mentor for some advice on how to achieve this

One thing i have found useful is to plan your time and commit. Let it be routine until you do it naturally. Set aside a time and learn. Another thing is to not take on too much. Learn a bit, practice some, and apply it. And repeat. This will make the learning experience a bit more exciting and easier

I find that building in time, as in blocking off 30 minutes on my calendar and putting it at the beginning of my day so it gets done and not pushed back by other priorities is the most helpful. Development and learning must be a priority in every role, not just an “extra”.

Prioritize tasks. There will always be something that needs to be done, especially at home, the most important tasks should be done first -taking care of family and pets and not worrying too much about household activities that could be pushed back in order to respect the discipline and the habit you’re trying to build.

Learning just after waking up or before going to bed always works for me. That way I train my mind to focus and prioritize my learning ability. Try to make it a part of your daily routine. I like to keep a calendar to mark my streaks. Just like how everyone uses Snapchat or Duolingo to maintain a streak, I like to do the same.

Resources such as courses, books, videos, etc. can be incredibly valuable in terms of shortening the learning/growth curve. However, it's important to balance consuming content with taking action. Content consumption can be helpful, but action is where skill building truly happens. Aim to consume some content, then create measurable results by taking action. Otherwise, it's like reading books about swimming, without ever getting in the pool.

When you are trying to learn something new, it is important to use the right resources in order to save time. There is so much information out there that it is critical you dig through all of the noise to get to what is actually helpful. Start by asking people around you for recommendations or reviews and go from there. Then when you have exhausted that, try certain things out to see if they work for you. Take your learning style into consideration because not everyone learns by picking up a book. You may need to hire an instructor that can help you learn this new skill. Personally, I learn best by doing things hands on. Once you determine what works for you, gather all that you can and dig in.

I love the idea of delegating as needed to continually develop others while learning how to let go of things that don’t drive you closer to your goals.

To get to the right destination we always need the right path also to learn the skills better we need the best resources it can be anything, it may be books, audiobooks podcasts, and sometimes people and their feedback and suggestions.

Learning a new skill alongside a peer within your network can enhance accountability and facilitate the achievement of your educational objectives. By scheduling consistent one-on-one engagements with your collaborator, you both gain the advantage of immediate application and integration of new knowledge, thereby expediting skill development and increasing the quality of the skill being learned.

Application is essential and the sooner the better. Set a reoccurring appointment in your calendar to review the learnings and what you going to focus on implementing and when. Use a system to remind you eg you might print a template or checklist or attach the tool to a calendar appointment. You might use a sticky note to remind you to do or use something. My advice is, don't rely on memory. Use tools to remind you. Ask people to hold you accountable or or feedback. An external source of accountability works well for most people.

It is important to apply what you are learning so that you can determine whether or not you have mastered it. It is one thing to have the knowledge in your head but quite another to put it into practice. Let's say that you are learning how to Time Block as a new time management strategy. You've read the books on how to do this, asked friends and family if this has worked for them, and even have an accountability partner lined up. The next step is actually doing it. It can be daunting when you first begin but the more you practice and apply your learning the easier it will get. The important thing is to get started.

Training for a new job can be a lot! However taking notes and asking as many questions as you can would be my best advice. Next step after that is REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT! Statistically it takes a person on average 10-20 repetitions to fully learn a task.

For myself hands on is the way I learn the best so in order for myself to pick things up easier I always try to get my hands on things faster. I fully believe that this would be the best way for a lot to learn because you are able to learn more by fixing issues.

As you progress in your learning journey it is very important to review the progress you have made and reflect on everything that has happened. You can ask yourself things like do I need more support? Do I feel like I've got this or can I improve in any area? Create a method of review so that the new skills you have learned are constantly at the forefront of your mind. I'm a big fan of flashcards because they are portable and easy to flip through when you have a few minutes to spare. Think about who you may have to follow up with, additional support you might need, and next steps for deepening your newly acquired skills. The big thing is to never stop learning.

Yes, we can use various methods to review and reflect, such as taking notes, summarising, journaling, etc. but I want to add that it will be better if we teach the skills or things to some friends, colleagues or anyone who wants to know, that we learn. Or we can record a video of ourselves like we are teaching, which helps us to learn and improve better.

Considero que siempre hay cosas por mejorar. Para mí es poner en práctica día a día un poquito de cada tema aprendido. De esta manera no me aburro, reconozco mis debilidades para dejarlas asentadas como tareas pendientes a concretar, como así también veo con claridad mis fortalezas.

Remember that developing a new skill takes time and effort. Release the desire for instant gratification. Decide to be okay with being new at the skill. Be open to learning, and embrace the beginner's mindset. Don't fear failure, because failure is where the growth is, and failure means you're trying. Through patience, humility, and persistence, that new skill will become yours.

I am learning about Process safety management with NEBOSH, to acquire this skill this learning process will be reinforced by immediate practical application of learnt principles

Right now I’m feeling overwhelmed as it is my last semester of college and trying to be a good time manager and perfectionist is very difficult when it comes to scheduling out the goals by the end of the semester. So having to review my weekly and monthly calendar is necessary to make sure that I am not overwhelming myself and balancing self-care and obligations. So on top of learning a new skills such as independently learning, Spanish helps with prioritizing what needs to get done first and what is optional. And it also gives me time to realize what exactly I want to accomplish, and I will make time for the skills that I want to learn.
