One thing I have found helpful while handling a multi National , multi culture team is to respect their experience, tradition and let them express their ideation fearlessly. One must cultivate the idea of fearless expression of ideation and innovation. Gone are the days of hierarchical leadership traditions. Every leader should really get the point that you are as good as your team. Every individual has their own way of expressing their feelings, ideation and thoughts wrapping their cultural background . Once the fear is taken out, beautiful innovative ideas tend to flow out thus making the team very effective.

Conflicting ideas does not equal a problem. That is the first realization that needs to be had. Pressing further, it is so important that each individual voice is heard and not brushed aside because it breaks the "status qou". Shoot them down instantly and you may shut them down entirely. From there, create an open forum where you can merge those ideas into a solution that aligns with both the companies goals and values. Allow different ideas to be tested or given a trial run if it makes sense. Don't overthink it, be authentic and keep the dialogue flowing.
