To define roles, a RACI chart could be a good tool. R, A, C, I stands for - Responsible - Accountable - Consulted - Informed And depending on the task, each team member could have different roles. This chart could help to clarify responsibilities on the team and reduce confusion.

To assure good communciation, you need 3 basic things: Listen, Listen and Listen! Always listen to your team, make meetings that are really productive and take into account their ideas and points of view, and make them a real part of the R+D+i project pipeline. Doesn't matter how much time you dedicate to listen and talk with your team, and you force discussion between them, it will always be profitable!

Role Clarity: Ensure each team member understands their responsibilities and the expectations for their role. This helps prevent overlaps and gaps in work.

Roles should be at least nailed down by - the deliverables it contributes to - its interfaces and dependencies with other roles - the required minimum competencies and skills, by levels if suitable. All roles are linked to the project plan with respective names and contact data. The hole organisation involved should be well aware of all roles and how they play together in an effective and efficient way. Roles should be part of the job descriptions and should be defined independently from the actual organisation.

Cross-functional teams consist of experts from different subjects. So, there is a high risk that people are not on the same page. En mi experiencia, la fijación de metas claras y la definición de tiempos realistas, es clave para la buena ejecución de un proyecto de la mano de una supervisión constante con herramientas como Jira. Las reuniones periódicas y evaluación del logro de metas es vital para tomar decisiones en caso de que existan eventualidades que estén retrasando la ejecución del proyecto y por lo tanto, proyectar posibles soluciones a eventuales fallos que no permitan la adecuada ejecución en los tiempos establecidos.
