I was tasked with making a trophy for my company's chili cook-off. Originally, I wanted to print it in my resin printer - the increased fidelity would lead to a better overall final product. A day before the event however, I discovered that the trophy had failed to print, despite my best attempts. I switched to my FDM printer to continue. Using my knowledge, I did the following the ensure the best print quality in the time allotted: - Layer height was doubled, halving total print time. - Infill density was decreased, while the number of walls were increased. - The print was oriented such that the least amount of support was needed. Doing these let the print finish in only a few hours, after which I could sand and paint.
