"Collaboration is the key to success," said John C. Maxwell. When juggling feedback from multiple vendors, centralized communication and clear processes are essential for seamless collaboration. In my experience, using a project management tool like Trello, Asana, or Slack helps consolidate feedback, track tasks, and ensure transparency. Set regular update meetings with all vendors to align on goals, address concerns, and track progress in real time. A common mistake is handling feedback in silos, which causes miscommunication. By centralizing communication, setting clear expectations, and maintaining a shared timeline, you ensure smooth collaboration and steady project progress.

You will never avoid Vendors talking each other, however a key driver in your organization is how you consider Vendor Relationship Management (VRM/SRM) to create trust and credibility. Ensure you have your organization’s expectation open and clearly communicated, set expectations and priorities, schedule business review with vendors, plan for visits, ensure you lead such visits, also set videoconferences to maintain contact. Supplier must know from you their performance ranking (quality/cost/delivery) as measured by your organization. Remember SRM for Procurement is a must do, do not let aside this activity, your organization will growth together with vendors.

To ensure seamless collaboration and progress while juggling feedback from multiple vendors, start by establishing a centralized communication platform where all stakeholders can share updates and feedback in real time. Clearly outline roles and responsibilities for each vendor to avoid confusion and streamline accountability. Schedule regular check-ins to discuss progress, address concerns, and align on priorities, fostering a sense of teamwork. Create a shared document to track feedback, action items, and deadlines, ensuring transparency and accessibility. Finally, encourage open dialogue and be responsive to vendor input, as this builds trust and enhances collaboration, ultimately driving the project forward effectively.

When juggling feedback from multiple vendor opinions it implies that it has become an ineffective collaboration practice. The best way we have handled this in our organization is to bring all parties to one table and address the challenges head-on. This has given our IT landscape a significant way to reduce conflicts between vendors and agree on common ground to work towards improvements and address all the feedback.
