Balance isn't a scale; it's a dance. ???????????????????? ??????????: Identify the most essential activities and focus on them. ???????????????? ??????????????????????: Assign tasks to others whenever possible. ???????? ???????????????????? ????????????????????: Use time management tools to stay organized. ?????? ????????????????????: Establish clear limits between work and personal time. ????????-????????: Take breaks, exercise, and practice mindfulness to recharge. Balance isn't a destination; it's a journey that requires constant attention.

This juggle is not reserved for coaches, but for all (small) business owners. And I think tasks don't end there... there's always more on the agenda than client work and admin. Time blocking helps for sure - but for me, it only started working when I cut out distractions and re-learned how to focus on one single thing for more than a few minutes. Distractions are everywhere in our digital age, and it's not enough to have a time blocker in your calendar. Highly recommend reading "Deep Work" by Cal Newport!

Hhmm - as an introvert typically coaching introverts, I'm very mindful of my energy and not packing my schedule too full. I purposefully leave plenty of space between clients so I get to finalise my notes, journal anything that has impacted me and that I might want to take to supervision, and to recharge in readiness for my next client. The temptation for a new coach can be to take on too much but for me, the personal cost is too high.

Here's how I use four key elements in my coaching practice. Time blocking - I undertake a monthly reflection and planning, and that is great to do some admin too Prioritise - use the Eisenhower matrix (important/urgent) and I set a couple of themes for the week which enables me to get to important tasks before they become urgent Automate - calendars for booking, billing/payment portals, AI tools to speed up content, Outsource/Delegate - build a relationship with a network of people who specialise in doing things. A relationship will help when life events take over.

Here are three strategies: 1. Time Blocking Implementation: Schedule specific blocks for coaching and administrative tasks. Outcome: Ensures focused time for each without overlap. 2. Prioritize Tasks Using the Eisenhower Matrix Implementation: Categorize tasks by urgency and importance. Outcome: Focuses efforts on critical coaching and administrative tasks. 3. Delegate Administrative Tasks Implementation: Delegate or automate tasks where possible. Outcome: Frees up time for coaching while ensuring tasks are managed. These strategies help balance coaching sessions and administrative duties effectively.
