One of the ways I realized my affinity for Data Analytics was through its application in my personal life. I began analyzing various aspects such as my spending habits, daily time allocation, assessing the performance of friends in sports activities, and monitoring my stock market portfolio. Incorporating data and analytics into my personal affairs prompted me to consider transitioning it into my chosen profession.

Sometimes it difficult to just think whether a field is good for you or not without actually testing the waters first. One way is get clarity is by taking courses on the same and get a sense of the work. You can also try network with professionals and understand the nature of the work they do to get an idea. If you have taken some courses and have basic-to-intermediate skills, you can test yourself in an internship (can be virtual ones too) to finally understand whether this is the right path for you

Ask yourself - do you like solving problems? Do you like autonomy? Do you like putting your investigation hat on? DA's role can vary massivley depending on the company and/or project you're working. There area lot of blurred lines in DA. Sometimes you will be more of a Data Scientist, and sometimes you'll be more of a financial analyst. Just know, your domain will massively determine what projects you will work on. If you care about healthcare, that might be the right domain for you. In general, you have to be okay witha few things: - Statistics - Coding (SQL, Python, sometimes R or SAS). - Creating Visualizations (Tableau, Power Bi, Domo, ect) - Story Telling and giving presentations.
