What are the consequences of the goal is achieved or not achieved (Benefits won and lost) All this done in a systematic manner in a common platform with continuous feedback flowing in could work very well. Awareness, Acceptance and Appreciation of this model among all stakeholders is key to success.

How will the evaluation align with the professional advancement and progress of the employees? The performance evaluation is a key to making sure you have the right people, in the right seat and doing the right work. If the evaluation is simply about performance it doesn't accomplish its purpose...make sure performance is positioned for the right reason. Secondly, performances must be done on a timely basis. You can't conduct a performance at the end of the year and expect the expected impact on the individual or business. It must be conducted two- three times a year such that the end of the year is an evaluation of the success of the plan Lastly, remember the exit interview. this should feed the evaluation of the managers and HR. The failure of an individual is not a solitary event.

Performance evaluation is a highly critical activities to retain talent in any organization.. Few things helped me to retain my staff were quite simple but highly effective. 1. Regular interactions with team members and setting expectations on every stage and documenting the same. 2. Identifying the individual team members strengths and assigning responsibility accordingly. 3. Talk of employees participation level on each activity. 4. Create a processor and reviewer mechanism and retain the data for period discussion on performances. 5. No surprises or shocks to the employees during performance evaluation. Before having a the first meeting, I advice having a “pre-meeting” not to discuss the items but to establish the relation, explain the process, the goals… (the who, why, what, how, when). Finish by setting up the date and time for the actual meeting and expectations suggestions for productive ans positive meeting. Naysayers would say it’s a waste of time. I’d say it’s an investment upstream earning great dividends downstream.

If the process is new, I’d advise to follow up frequently in order to speed up improvement iteration. Once the process has seems a few suckers and is well honed, longer evaluation and fillip up cycle or audits are normal.

Sharing my learnings from "The One Minute Manager" book by Kenneth Blanchard & Spencer Johnson into three key takeaways below. In short, effective appraisal evaluation doesnt just happen 1x, 2x, or 4x per year. It occurs perpetually! 1. **One Minute Goals:** Setting clear, concise goals helps focus efforts. These should be brief, agreed upon, and measurable, allowing for easy evaluation. 2. **One Minute Praisings:** Providing immediate, specific, and genuine praise when someone performs well reinforces positive behavior and motivates continued success. 3. **One Minute Reprimands:** Addressing mistakes promptly, discussing the issue, and redirecting behavior towards improvement while separating the person from the problem.

Ensuring an effective performance system involves several key steps.Here are a few .. First, establish clear, measurable goals aligned with the organization's objectives. Regularly train managers on effective feedback techniques, ensuring they provide constructive, actionable feedback. There seems to be missing a sub topics here which is to identify and monitor KPIs. Any processes intended for improvement needs some kind of metrics for monitoring and establish a baseline.

Primero de todo, antes de definir como evaluar, se debe dise?ar bien el puesto de trabajo, las funciones y responsabilidades del puesto. Después se debe elegir una manera de evaluar. Por ejemplo en un puesto con mucha autonomía, donde el empleado puede elegir sobre la política de precios y productos, puedes evaluar por resultados obtenidos. Por otra parte, en un puesto con tareas definidas, sin autonomía, pongamos de ejemplo una línea de montaje, se puede evaluar por productividad o rendimiento, por incidencias por defectos de fabricación, etc. A parte de esto, los objetivos a definir para los empleados deben de ser SMART ( Especificos, medibles, alcanzables, realistas y de duración limitada).
