Off the coast of Southern California (Oct. 21-Nov. 1) #Marines and @USNavy #Sailors conduct Quarterly Underway Amphibious Readiness Training (QUART) 25.1 on the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset. QUART is a joint training exercise designed to develop and sustain essential amphibious skills for effective operations in maritime environments while reinforcing the Navy-Marine Corps partnership. ?? #ICYMI Arlington National Cemetery and the United States Mint held a joint ceremony in honor of #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth on Nov. 6. The ceremony was held in honor of Native American activist, writer, and composer Zitkala-?a's, whose image on the U.S. Mint's latest quarter is part of the American Women Quarters program. Holistic Health and Fitness, #H2F, is revolutionizing how the US Army prepares Soldiers for combat. Through this non-commissioned officer-led, subject-matter-expert-advised System, Soldiers are returning from injury faster and performing better on rifle marksmanship. The 18th Field Artillery Brigade Steel Fitness Trainer program allows the Human Performance Team embedded within their brigade to work in partnership with Soldiers to refine physical training program development and injury prevention.
