Check the PSU voltage rails first, you will be able tell from there if the PSU is to blame or not. Are they unstable? Are the voltage rails target achieved? Check the CMOS battery too, they can easily die after many years of usage due to wear, reset the CMOS/clear if needed, this can also fix a plethora of issues.

You will need to identify and mitigate possible sources of interference such as other electronic devices running on the same channel as your device, which might impact the IOT device's performance. Very negligible but crucial for optimal performance.
One of the most common connectivity issues is the host connection, not the server/IoT device itself. Check the IP, DNS and gateway, are they DHCP/Static? If showing 169, then try another Wi-Fi network or cable. Also check to make sure that your Wi-Fi signal (if using) is not the same Hz as other networks nearby, also check to make sure that if your using Wi-Fi 6(E), then make sure your device also supports it.

You should also have the necessary tools and skills to safely and correctly remove and replace the components, such as a soldering iron, a screwdriver, a multimeter, and a wire cutter. You should follow the instructions and precautions provided by the manufacturer or the supplier of the components, and test your device after replacing them.
There are so many facets to IoT that the problem could be anywhere. It's best to circle back to the reason why IoT is used. It is to sample real world data in real time, populate big data and to use analytical apps and software to filter and interrogate this data to make informed decisions. The process is performed with expectations by the client, including the environment and TTL (time that the device is expected to work). The question does not allow for breaks in this process. Before checking batteries on devices and Sigfox and LoraWAN connections, apply the same principles in PC fault finding. Is it one device? All? A node? Is the database being populated or is the app connecting? There needs to be a defined process of elimination.
A good practice is to divide and conquer method. Start where the problem lies. Go back, check for power, etc. Then move forward and check along the way if it still works or another issue preventing from full operation.
