From my experiences working closely with top executives, I would say that improving communication with your boss can sometimes feel like navigating through a maze blindfolded! I've also learnt that taking the time to understand their preferred communication style and actively listening to their feedback will always make a world of difference. It's like unlocking a secret code to better collaboration. Plus, scheduling regular check-ins has also helped me stay on track and ensure we're aligned on goals. It's all about building that trust and mutual understanding, one conversation at a time. Remember, improving your relationship with your boss takes time and effort from both sides. Stay patient and committed.

Sometimes it takes some time to understand why this happens. It is crucial to understand why. Sometimes bosses simply don’t know how to be a boss. We should let them know in correct way what you need before you start to perform. If you will ask in a correct manner you will get it.

There is only one way out - Just go and talk. Few points to remember: 1. Communication has 2 attributes a) Speaking and b) Listening Don't expect to reach to a desired conclusion or output. For me, active listening is all about being mindful of the conversation. You must be actively listening not thinking about what to say in between the conversation. Active listening thus creates impact, impact on productivity and progress.

Consider the audience: if you are working for someone who is just a "boss" you are probably wasting your time because the decision is likely already final. However. If you are working for a true "leader", you have something to work with. Present your perspective as an option to be considered and have an open conversation to explain your Idea and the perceived benefit of following the alternative path.

Improving communication with your direct manager/ boss is essential for a healthy work relationship. Some steps that I can strongly recommend to enhance your communication would be; 1. Schedule 1-on-1 Check-ins (weekly/ bi-weekly): Discuss your work, share updates, ask questions, and address any concerns. This allows for open communication and ensures that you're both on the same page. 2. Understand & Set Expectations: Make sure you have a clear understanding of your manager’s expectations/ vision for your role, responsibilities, and projects. If anything is unclear, don't hesitate to ask for clarification.

1. Talk to boss's spouse and ask whether boss is in good mood while leaving home today and cut the iceberg at office on that day. Informal grapevine matters. 2.Wait for birthday/marriage anniversary in boss family and that day greetings followed by communication will just be like a work.in time saves nine 3. If you think you cant communicate certain problems with your boss,we can identify the threats that are guving the fear. Most of the time we will eliminate them as a result of procrastination. Your boss according to you may be insensitive, difficult or anything. But if you still take sick leaves or celebrate birthdays, believe it that you are not facing the worse. Choose the right time to speak. It may be when you are delivering him a favour or when you are submitting a report. You may text that You need to talk and then sort the problem very clearly. The best way is to be empathetic of the impact that your conversation might have on him/her and address the outcome and synchronise your conversation accordingly

I would add to put your manager to cc with every business communication you do unless you will be asked to stop. It will help you to get a feedback when needed and demonstrate your progress even without extra reporting.
