In the VUCA world, one is either going up or is going out- Harsh Reality but True. 1) Learn new skills -Unlearning, Relearning, Reskilling and Upskilling becomes the key. With the advent of Gen Y and Gen Z in our workforce,we have to also rewire our mindsets to be able to retain them and not make ourselves outdated professionally. 2) We need to be Team Player. We can be all good leaders but in the end "how we behave together as a group" matters. Understanding group dynamics and maintaining professionalism is imperative. 3) Knowing the Business and numbers just as the COO knows it and knowing the company's concerns should be the priority. 4) Raising our hands to get involved in at least 1 cross functional project makes us business oriented.
