You're facing tight deadlines on a CAD project. How do you prioritize last-minute design changes for success?
When crunch time hits on a CAD project, prioritize effectively to handle design changes without missing your deadline. Here's how:
- Assess impact: Quickly evaluate how each change affects the project timeline and overall design.
- Communicate priorities: Discuss with your team which changes are must-haves versus nice-to-haves.
- Streamline revisions: Use CAD tools efficiently to implement essential modifications rapidly.

No doubt, there will be last minute surprises (changes) in the CAD designs. (1) To tackle with this, plan some buffer time in the schedule as risk mitigation. (2) I always prefer to perform the design with relational layout models, Interface control models, formulae, etc. usage of publications (published elements), So that if we make change in the parent input and the model update automatically every place where parts designed with relational method. (3) If possible have some macros developed for easy and quick creation of parts and replace the changed parts.
