There are (at least) three responses to any change, no matter how "mandatory": 1) Comply. read the original, as well as people's interpretations - what it will cost to make the change and how you will benefit as a result of you making the change (it might be something you need to change anyway). 2) Don't comply and pay the cost of non-compliance. It might be to your advantage to do it this way around - do the calculation. 3) Withdraw from that marketplace. Sometimes the change simply isn't worth complying with so walk away. Yes you will lose your investment - that's a risk of doing business and a calculation you need to include.

If there is a change in the contract terms, I would definitely seek a response as to why the changes occurred and how it would affect our relationship.
