It's important to always be open to the possibility that your idea isn't the best. With this in mind I would start by adopting a coaching mindset and asking questions to get their perspective on things: What are their thoughts and concerns around the new work processes? The key is to 'empower, not impose'. Whenever I face resistance from a team member I try the following - - Acknowledge their concern - Understand their perspective - Involve them in the solution - Offer required support (if any) My approach is always to guide them through the change so that they will be more likely to embrace it.

To guide a resistant team member towards embracing new work processes, start by understanding their concerns through open, empathetic conversation. Acknowledge their feelings and validate any challenges they’re facing. Clearly explain the benefits of the new process, connecting it to their personal or team goals. Offer support, such as training or resources, to help them feel more confident. Encourage gradual adaptation, allowing them to take small steps toward change. Provide positive reinforcement when they make progress, reinforcing the value of the change. Maintain ongoing communication to address concerns and celebrate successes.
