Too often I see people in job search only focus on their long-term goal..."get a new job". In business or any projects you've ever done, we don't focus on the annual goal, we break it down into quarterly, or monthly goals, track our progress and adjust as necessary. It is critical to break your job search into monthly/weekly/daily goals, track KPI's around your short-term goals to gauge your progress & success. If you're not hitting them, then change your approach/strategy, ask for help. If you're hitting them, then stay at it, be patient, and your long-term goal of a new job WILL HAPPEN!

Maintain resilience by establishing small, achievable milestones to sustain motivation. Additionally, cultivate a supportive network and recognize that each setback serves as an opportunity for growth.

It is hard to face a rejection during a jobhunting proces. Some people forget easily that applying for a job takes a lot of energy. And it's not only your application: but also the application of your loved ones (partner and kids). Everyone nearby is involved. My advise is to be open and frank to them. When I was applying I had the tendency to stay positive during the processes. A positive mindset is valuable, but it also creates sometimes onrealistic hope at those around you. If you are rejected, try to realise that this was not YOUR job. You only need one job. What also could be valuable is to realise that you are as powerfull as the hiring manager. You can also determin NOT to go further! Your professionalism counts the same! Good luck

Job hunting as stressful as it may get, is a great phase of learning and growth. The main reason behind that is in today's time an individual would look for a role roughly every 1.5 - 2 years and the orthodoxically glorified sense of 'Loyalty' is changing rapidly. In my experience, I have used these following things during my previous hunts to make it more than just a hunt for the next role. 1. Make Connections: I shamelessly connect with industry leaders and company management to enhance my network and get references if any. This not only helps in making a lasting connection but a resume being diverted by a C-suite executive adds weightage to your candidature. 2. Be Patient and Know your worth. 3. Stay Optimistic 4. Learn continously

Job hunting can feel demoralizing, especially with rejections. To stay focused, remind yourself why you’re looking for a new job in the first place. Set specific goals, like applying to a certain number of jobs each week. Keep track of your applications to stay organized and motivated. Reach out to your network for support and possible leads; they might know of openings. Don't dwell on rejections—learn from them and move on. Finally, give yourself regular breaks to recharge. Focus on progress, not perfection, and keep pushing forward. The right opportunity will come.
