Understanding where the bottlenecks are (or would be) and understanding the alternative technologies is an important part of the solution design. The optimisation of process performance often leads to the incorporation of other technologies that can handle the execution more effectively or breaking the process into more reusable and asynchronous parts. A good example would be a situation where two data tables need to be joined on a common column in both tables. In technologies like Power Automate or UiPath, the mechanism used to join data iterates through each record in table A compared to each record in table B. This could sometimes take hours to join data which can be done in seconds using SQL. SQL can easily be invoked in either platform
