The reality is you can never ensure your employees their job will be safe during organizational growth, particularly if there is anticipated reorganization and potential layoffs. If this is the case and the company is spending resources in a "growth mindset" whereas in fact they should be spending time in a "resilient mindset", if during the reorganization less people will need to do more outside of their scope of practice or cover for those who were laid off, my best advice is to prepare your team for the worst and hope for the best. Ideally, great leaders should help their employees with openly to assist them in finding other opportunities both within as well as outside the company. You risk losing them, but they will always remember you.
