In most communities, there will be at least one or two, maybe even a posse of potential volunteers. Engaging these people and giving them the right resources can save you so much time and money over a project. Weather it's weeding, litter picking, pruning or letting you know if somethings gone wrong. Any nature based project is better with an informed active community.

Transparency is key. Not being clear and open with people causes ditrust in your brand. Being honest with what you and doing and more importantly, why you are doing it helps build trust. Even if you have to give something a quick fix because you dont have the time or resorces to do everything perfectly, be honest about that. You might even find that there is more help and community availble to you when you are transparent.
