For a seamless user experience, the first step would be to draw out a user flow. From the user flow would come the analysis of the system touch points - blockchain or legacy or third party. Next would be the analysis of the data flow. More often, the legacy system would have been “wrapped” and would be providing decent user experience. CRUD operations on a blockchain could very well be slow and expensive and not too good for user experience. Do also consider “ wrapping” or intermediating the blockchain system/s, this will mitigate performance and scalability issues and enable a good user experience

A blockchain is just a very expensive database. The only time a blockchain can be useful is if it’s immutable i.e. the ledger/database cannot be altered or overwritten by anyone. There is only one blockchain that can guarantee this, and that is Bitcoin. All the rest of this “blockchain technology” is just overhyped buzzwords and mumbo jumbo, designed to make money from selling you a very expensive database. Buyer beware!
