Implementing shift cycles or alteration of existing cycles needs to be discussed at all levels. Prior to doing so. The need to implement and execution could be disrupting to employees family life balance. Proper monitoring of the effect is needed as fatique or any other safety hazards can arrise. As said in this article fatique breaks must be part of the shift cycle. What i have seen is that a four shift cycle worked effectively together with cyclic 12 hour shifts where needed. Safety under any circumstance must never be sacrificed. A platform for the reviewing of the desired outcome must be available. must be available.
