One of the important things I learned in design school is how to be open to criticism. Always remain calm and remember that Design opinion is subjective, and driving by many factors. Use the criticism as an opportunity to promote your work, focusing your attention on explaining your design philosophy and the strong points in the design which might have been ommited in the critique. Also reflex on the critique and see if there are things you can make better next time. Always remember, in the business of Design, just as any other business, any publicity is good publicity. It all depends on how you handle it. Make the best out of the criticism, get known, use it as a marketing tool.
