we must always do a risk assement every six months on the server side which are critical so that nothing is missed and see that security is not compromised. in risk assement and internal audit you can find if the updates are done propwery also the user access is reviwed ornot and add the same in risk assement.

For doing any updates on production servers we generally check the saem on UAT servers and then update the same on production servers also all the same is first discussed with product , developers and tech team .
