When I am facing a data breach crisis I always make sure that I stop and take time to collaborate on LinkedIn articles which will scrape my intellectual property without compensating me for it and feed it into their datalake to be used how ever the hell they want - probably being fed to an LLM because "Ai iS tHe fUtUrE."

I think to be proactive is important, Todays data breach crisis demands a different approach. It's important to know that solely relying on automated tools is not going to work. As the data has already been compromised, the focus should shifts to forensic Investigation and data recovery. Modern attackers use sophisticated techniques like zer0-day exploits, polymorphic malware, Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), SSL/TLS , certificate pinning and more…. So I think, skilled security Team members with the help of AI can avoid this. It's a mix of human expertise with intelligent technology, this should stops today's sophisticated cyber threats.

When facing a data breach, every second counts. Automation tools can turn a potential disaster into a manageable situation. Here’s how: 1. Immediate Detection: Tools like SIEM and anomaly detection catch unusual activity instantly, keeping us ahead of the threat. 2. Automate Responses: Automation isolates affected systems, alerts stakeholders, and starts containment protocols—saving precious time and reducing human error. 3. Post-Breach Analysis: Automated tools analyze data from the incident, helping us learn from mistakes and improve defenses. Automation empowers us to respond quickly and strategically, allowing teams to focus on what matters most.

- using tools like EDR, SIEM and SOAR will help you. - implementing zero trust technology one of the feature is DLP(data loss prevention). - training and education for employees. this way we can automate and implement it effectively.

In the current threat environment, automation is not just a benefit, it’s a critical component of any robust cybersecurity strategy. Leveraging solutions like Cisco SecureX for seamless integration across the security ecosystem, or OWASP ZAP for automated vulnerability scanning, enables rapid threat detection and response. By utilizing advanced automation frameworks such as Cisco AMP for automated malware defense and SIEM for continuous monitoring, organizations can proactively mitigate risks, ensure faster incident resolution, and maintain a resilient security posture.
