I used to experience lot of conflicts because of my egoistic technical expertise. Yes! That was once upon a time and great that I realized and came out of that quickly, being happy by exercising the followings. (1) even though conflict arises, stay neutral and maintain impartiality. Always try to explain well on ‘why’ with active listening. (2) calm tensions when emotions run high. Show your empathy and seek common ground. Loose when not much business value, that’s totally fine. (3)always ensure conversations lead to actionable solutions and others feel safe to continue discussing with you!! It always takes time to build the trust. Eventually you will have the same person advocating your goodness. Try and let me know.

In such a depreciated context, the expected communication effort is prone to be a negotiation to find a way through First, everybody around the table must recall and clarify his/her responsibilities, interests, and outcomes. Then, it would be best to embrace the correct profile type to approach a communication that looks like a negotiation. Are you expected to be the? - Assertive lead to converge to a decision - Analyst to provide data and insights - Mediator to influence the powerful partners to make their choices Where do you stand?
