When facing conflicting methods, my experience working in diverse cultures, Brazil, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and the USA has taught me the importance of adapting while respecting each environment’s. Every country brings distinct values and styles that shape how athletes respond to training. In Brazil, the approach is more flexible and creative, in Saudi Arabia, hierarchy play a significant role. To address conflicting methods, I carefully assess each one specific needs, aiming the best aspects of each approach. Open dialogue with athletes and other coaches is key, creating a collaborative environment. I also encourage athletes to give feedback, fostering autonomy and confidence, which are essential, regardless of the cultural context.

Inspire a growth mindset in sportsmen - teach them to examine different methods of performance objectively. Encourage consistent treatment in the form of teamwork to synchronize coaching approaches and exchange best practices. Set up as part of the strategy a coaching mentoring program in which senior coaches will work on their knowledge exchange with junior coaches. Sports psychologists may be recruited to provide assistance and guidance in any disputes where an objective view may be required. Keep in mind that differences in training methods are beneficial as long as they are utilized effectively as it exposes the athlete to a variety of skills.
