This is a very normal situation where clients define tight deadline. It is very important to assess if quality work can be done within the expected timeline. If it does not seem realistic it is important to communicate the same to the client. If in the pretext of timeline quality work is hampered then it does not make sense. Secondly assess if manpower can be increased to achieve the timeline because it maybe so that this maybe genuine business need of the client due to circumstances Plan a proper schedule in both ways and get into mutual agreement with the client to have proper clarity.

Navigating contract negotiations under pressure of tight deadlines requires clarity about scope at an early stage of negotiations, setting up a reasonable & realistic time frame for completion, discussion & arrangement of additional resources where required, and stay focused on solution.
-
Set clear expectations from the start. Talk to the client about what can realistically be achieved in the timeframe they’re asking for. Be honest about what’s possible and outline any risks of rushing the process. This helps you avoid misunderstandings and makes sure both sides know what’s at stake. Negotiate based on value, not just speed. Explain that while you understand the urgency, delivering quality work requires proper time and resources. Propose options like adjusting the scope or increasing resources to meet the deadline without sacrificing quality. Stay calm and solution-focused. Instead of pushing back against pressure, offer alternative timelines or deliverables that maintain both quality and efficiency.

Document agreements clearly to avoid misunderstandings and be prepared to negotiate trade-offs that benefit both parties while meeting deadlines. #ahmedalaali11
