When facing client delays on a project, navigating assertiveness and diplomacy is key to keeping things on track. First, I would clearly communicate the impact of the delays on the project timeline, being straightforward about the risks while ensuring the client feels understood. I would offer practical solutions, such as adjusting deadlines or reallocating resources, to show flexibility without compromising the project’s integrity. Balancing assertiveness, I would gently remind the client of the agreed-upon milestones and why their timely input is crucial for the project’s success. To maintain diplomacy, I’d listen carefully to their reasons for the delay, showing empathy and openness to working around challenges.
