First address the issue and see what the conflict is in general then have a open discussion where everyone can have each a chance to give input Communication among the team is greatly needed for a good outcome Once everyone has had a chance to feel heard the set expectations of what the goal to achieve then resolve with everyone as a group

In my opinion, whenever there are any clashes among seniors, we must encourage them to have one to one communication and understand the issue deeply which needs to be evaluated from the organisation’s perspective and not from individuals’ perspective. “Organisation first”, all the clashes can be sorted keeping this ideology.

To manage clashes in seniority levels effectively: Encourage Open Communication: Create a space where everyone can voice their ideas, regardless of seniority. Clarify Roles: Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and contributions. Promote Collaboration: Emphasize teamwork and leverage both senior and junior strengths. Set Clear Expectations: Establish norms for respect and decision-making. Mediate Conflicts: Act as a neutral party when tensions arise. Address Power Imbalances: Ensure all team members feel valued and empowered. This approach helps balance power dynamics and fosters a cohesive, productive team.

Power dynamics do not reveal themselves when a key project starts! As a leader, I am usually aware of history of confict or power struggle between team members. With this knowledge, my first attempt is to prevent clashes by not putting conflicting members in the same team. Assigning completely different segments of work to conflicting members is the next strategy. My experience tells me that talking to such members mostly doesn't work.

I'd let the seniors debate like a presidential election, and have Musk step in to moderate, guaranteed chaos but at least it'll go viral.
