As leaders of a project it is essential to communicate with the team and get them to "buy In" and take ownership of the project with you. If they feel that their voice is heard and they have a seat at the table, and they are taken seriously, it is amazing the level of effort they will bring to the table. Be transparent about the constraints, and brainstorm on solutions, ask for input and let their voices be heard. Collaboration is the most effective weapon in your arsenal!

Appreciating the team for the hard and good work along with providing non monetary benefits to the deserving team mate. Listen to team the problems faced and give a solution for it. Find out the strength of the people and realign the team for better efficiency in less cost. Keep the atmosphere positive by telling of future growth potentials.

Its very odd for me, when i hear everyone talk of transparency, empathy, communication, goal setting, budgeting, incentives, appreciation, yada yada yada... All of this is given if you are a leader managing projects or staff. I am sure all good leaders have these traits and practice them to their ability. but one major factor stands, The BIG Elephant in the room: Real World Budgets and getting work done on time so "The Company" makes enough profits to grow etc. etc. etc. whats better 1 person to do the job of 3? or 3 people to do the job of 1... do we wonder why AI will replace the workforce? when instagram was acquired it only had 18 employees. Twitter produces more and runs better on 1/3 of its original workforce. ponder on that.

Na verdade, o ciclo motivacional, deve iniciar-se antes da atividade, com a cria??o das dinamicas de grupo onde os papéis est?o claros e valorizados, percebendo-se sempre, que o valor do grupo é muito maior que a soma das partes. Seremos sempre nós em detrimento do eu mais tu. é fundamental a valoriza??o de cada um em fun??o do objetivo do grupo.

I've used this in many instances and it can be extremely valuable as it can help with giving the team goals to work towards, rather than quantifying work complete as hours worked. A particularly successful tactic I've used has been at the beginning of the week aligning with the team on what a big win or monumental progress would look like. Once we align on that - we can set a target to have all of the work done by Thursday so Friday can be a half day. It is important that you are specific in defining what done looks like and that the team still delivers quality work.

Get the team to Explore innovative ways to optimise cost and to manage the margins. Find ways to celebrate the effort & WILL put behind the generation of these ideas

I believe incentives are key motivating tools. Team feels themselves as valuable for the organization and they feel motivated. In budget constraints situation non-monetary incentives are very much helpful.

Tokens of appreciation tells people you see and recognise their value. Team members feel not only appreciated but are seen as humans. Project demands encroach into personal time and rewarding colleagues accordingly says, "I see you and the over and above effort you willingly contribute to add value to the team and project."

Non-monetary incentives are great, but they need to be clear that they are a reward and not an entitlement. Yes of these kids of factors can help build or rebuild the emotional contract with employees, and drive togetherness and a sense of camaraderie that is beyond the purely transactional.

Everyone want to have their efforts acknowledged. This is an imperative, which is heightened if there are budgetary constraints.

As humans we’re naturally social creatures. We need human interaction including emotional encounters with other such as affirmation. When money is limited or no longer available, accolades, acknowledgement, and affirmation help address that base human need. Taking a minute to make sure you have the right team and all team players lift each other up, collaborate (as opposed to constantly compete) and place credit where credit is due (as opposed to trying to one up) is more powerful than money in most instances. With the right team and attitude at the top, money isn’t an issue because the team will be highly energized and virtually unstoppable!

Public recognition of an individual's efforts is incredibly valuable; those who contribute should certainly be acknowledged and appreciated!

Its important to understand how each member of the team wants to be recognized. Some may want large, public recognition, while others might be looking for more personal, individual recognition. Regardless of which type they prefer, its important to make recognition a priority.

Its important to keep a player/coach mindset with your team. Making sure that they know that while you're challenging them, you're still there to support them. This can come through in many different ways, however I personally like to sit down and work through a new or difficult situation together rather than having my team go at it alone without support.

Professional growth is indeed a powerful motivator to keep a team focused and engaged on a project. However, it's one of those tools that must be used with the utmost care. When used wisely, it can lay the foundation for long-term, successful working relationships. But because it relies heavily on trust, failing to deliver on promises can severely damage that relationship. When you commit to fostering professional growth, it's essential to ensure that your team members are set up for success and that you are genuinely capable of fulfilling your promises. The key to sustaining motivation and trust lies in aligning your intentions with your ability to deliver.

Professional growth opportunities should not be a rhetoric. Training and development is beneficial if time is afforded. Employees are overworked and over burdened with deadlines and targets. Finding time for self improvement seems to be a luxury. Allow employees time during working hours to incorporate learning and development into their schedules. Don't penalize employees for wanting time to learn.
